Infocenter - Payoff for your images
How will I be paid out for my sold images?
Currently we pay out our users via two methods:
- Moneybookers (www.moneybookers.com)
- Paypal (www.paypal.com)
Both services allow sending money by internet to the whole world. At first you have to register at one of those services. After requesting your payment on Pixmac you will be asked to fill in your ID connected with that payment account (usually email address). You will be also asked to attach photocopy of your ID with your image. Your data will be treated as confidential; it will be used only as a proof of your identity. We won't use for something else or offer them to other parties.
How much will I get for my images?
Commission for photographers registered before 1st April 2009 is 50% for non-exclusive images and 60% for exclusive. It is from 30 and 44% for non-exclusive images and from 45 to 60% for exclusive for photographers registered after 1st April 2009. The concrete percentage depends on volume of sales (everyone starts with 30%).
How is that possible that my image was sold for less than $0.50?
It is because you don't get your commission from the price in credits but directly from its price in USD. If the image was bought for subscription credits where the price for one credit is lower, you will get smaller commission. This fact is balanced with fact that most credits are bought from prepaid credit packs where the price for one credit is higher than $1 and your commission will be much higher this time. You could be only unlucky this time; make another two or three sales and you will see that you will be satisfied with your commissions!
